Ok, keeper league with salary cap of 100 mil, along with an IR slot and a PS slot (practice squad for one rookie who has to stay on there till the following year)

Here was my keepers.

S. Smith (30 mil)
A. Johnson (20 mil)
M. Colston (25 mil)
A. Gates (20 mil)
R. Bironas (5 mil)
M. Lynch (PS)
L. Maroney (IR)

Here's my draft by round. I was in our superbowl last year so I drafted last in first round and first in 2nd and so on.

10) E. Graham (he was best rb on list)
11) Palmer
27) Forte (got this pick through a trade)
30) Jennings
31) Rothy
50) S. Young
51) R. Rice
70) R. Curry
71) J. Gage
90) D. Keller (I dont normally draft a second TE, but this pick was expendable.

So now I have 3 rookies on my team. I have one open practice squad spot (PS) since Lynch had to come off because you can only keep a rook on PS for one season.

So now I have to figure out which rook I want to place on PS. I think I have till the second week of the season. Either Forte or Rice. Im not going to waste my PS position on a rookie TE.

What Im kinda hoping for is either Forte or Rice gets a little ding and goes on the injury report. That way I pull Maroney off IR and place one of the rooks on IR and the other on PS and have them both free to me next year. Thats what I did with Maroney so he wouldnt count towards my cap this year.

Barring injury though, which rookie would you use your PS slot for? Forte, or Rice?

I'd put Rice on the practice squad. Forte will be the starter for the Bears and will get lots of touches this season. Rice will get some game time, but if McGahee stays healthy then Rice's playing time will be limited. I love Rice long term, but if I had to choose between the two, I would keep Forte on my active roster w/o a thought.

Thats kinda what I was thinking. Then if Forte gets a ding or is listed on the injury list I could move him to IR and that way neither RB would count towards my cap next year. As long as I left Forte on IR and didnt pull him off.

Maroney I could pull off now, but I may wait and see what kind of use he gets. Also placing Rice on PS opens up another roster spot for me, so I could hit the free agent list and see what wr's are out there.

Im not real clear on how solid my RB's are though. I think Lynch will be good, not sure what kind of use Young will get or how good Graham will be.
