I almost started a new thread, but fine. I'll move my discussion here.

Well, as far as the trade goes, I was going back and forth on it. I'm just not as high on Evans as others are but took him when I did as he was better than what was left. I do like Reggie Brown this year and I hope the difference between the 2 isn't substantial. I'm not sure about VJax, but he's going to be the #1 WR (#3 option) and should see a lot of red zone looks with his size. The addition of Cooley being big is what I'm hoping for. The trade also allows me to be a little more flexible with the draft at this point and go BPA.

As for Dunn, he's the last of the #1 RB's left. Looks like he should only miss 3-4 weeks and shouldn't miss any playing time.

Sorry, I forgot that the other thread was titled just for rounds 5 & 6 - not sure why I did it that way...

Glass, I like your pick of Alex Smith for back-up. I almost took him, but was waiting for 1 more time back around.

I would be surprised if Dunn was healthy for week #1. Offseason Shoulder Surgery combined with herniated disk back surgery, 32 years of age and 10 full seasons under his belt. The wear of a fine career are poking through and I'll be the first to say that I think Dunn is Done. I think he'll play sparingly but for the most part this is Norwoods gig now.

Went with Vinatieri for much the same reason others that picked kickers have...powerful offense=frequent opportunities, I believe he'll be the best of the bunch, kicks indoors and obviously outdoors isn't much an issue for him either.

I expect Hester to see a fair amount of playing time at WR - and he'll be the DEEP target (did that just for you RH). He'll be the hit or miss guy with some o-fers and the 1-78-TD game. He is still pretty raw with the routes, but if he can pick them up quickly enough he has game-breaking speed.

Clearly, you are certifiable.

My "Crew" is doing just fine, but seeing as I am not multiple individuals posting under a single name I made the switch. If there is enough sentiment to change it back, then I will.

The wife is doing well, btw. And we're having this one at home. No hospitals, no doctors, and no midwife. So guess who gets to be on the receiving end?

My apologies as this is clearly off topic from our draft discussion...

On the contrary, it is only in recent history (and even then primarily just in "Western Civiliation") that we have this idea that we need to use hospitals or doctors to deliver babies.

I've been thru 5 deliveries and I'll tell you that the doctor is pretty much useless. In fact, at our last one he was called for 4 hours before my wife delivered. He decided his time was better utilized by finishing dinner and watching a movie for his family. We walked into the room and the baby was already out. And of course we were still hit with the bill.

And what does the doctor actually do? Sits there to "catch", clears out the mouth and makes sure the baby starts to breathe on its own. Then they prematurely cut off the blood supply from the uterus before allowing the baby to be completely independent. They do follow up visits and if it's a boy...we'll that's far enough in the discussion.

Unless there are complications, have any of you who have witnessed the birth of your children seen the doctor do anything else? I'd be curious to hear...

With my first child, yes but there were some minor complications when my daughter's heart rate started to drop and she was in some distress. No way would I have wanted to be there alone. The 2nd time around everything went as expected and we could have done without a doctor but after the first go around, no way would I want to do that.

All that said, I understand where you are coming from and you are right that most of the time a doctor isn't needed. I'm all for trying the do-it-yourself method on a lot of things and if you are comfortable with it, then go for it. I think it would be a really neat experience, just not one I'm willing to try on my own voluntarily after past issues.

It'd be cool if you could rent out a hospital room but no doctor, and only call on the doctor if something goes wrong. The possibility of complications would be the thing stopping me from doing this.
