This was one of those drafts that just started bad and never got better. This was my work league and only includes 2 others that actually "follow" this sort of stuff. I expected to get some sleepers and out-draft others. Well, I don't think that worked out.

12 team league. Start 1 QB, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, TE, K DST, basic, non-PPR scoring. I drafted 10th.

QBs: Rothlisberger (9.10); Harrington (13.10)

RBs: W. Parker (1.10); T. Henry (2.03); B. Jackson (6.03); D. Williams (8.03)

WRs: Wayne (3.10); J. Walker (4.03); D. Branch (7.10); G. Jennings (11.10); D. Henderson (14.03)

TE: Shockey (5.10)

K: Stover

DST: Pittsburgh

A few things. The absolute horrible mistake I made was letting Westbrook pass me and fall to 14th. I though he went 8th and just missed it. I was entering everyone's picks and drafting for the guy ahead of me, but it was still a stupid mistake. I'm not big on him, but I like him more than Parker.

The other is waiting until 9.10 to take a QB. Not surprisingly, there was a early run and I expected to get one in the 7th. But three guys snatched their 2nd QBs and I opted for Branch and Williams thinking they were better picks and that it wouldn't get much worse. I think it did. I actually think that Harrington could be my starter by Week 3, so I'm not as angry as I could have been.

Finally, I am no longer high on my FIDO team. This draft made me realize that I overvalued NOS WRs. Only one was taken until I took Henderson in the 14th, and I have 4. Ouch. And relying on Chambers in that league is just downright scary.

I draft again tomorrow in one that really counts and really look forward to your input.

Thanks!

Non PPR, I'd rather have Parker than Westbrook. Henry as well.

I think you're fine at RB, WR, and TE. I'm also not comfortable with your QB's and agree that Harrington may turn out to be your starter, if only for the fact he may throw nearly 30 times a game. Your backups seem shakey - I can see any of them being overtaken by people behind them.

The good news is your roster only has 14 players on it, which means there are plenty of potential sleepers on the waiver wire. Don't go on vacation this weekend.

Starter-wise, your only weakness is at QB. You don't have much depth at RB or WR, but I like your starters there.

I agree with both above. I think that may have been too early for B. Jackson, but don't know what else was left there.

But, I will also add that I think both Big Ben and Harrington will surprise this year. Harrington will actually be startable and Big Ben actually put up pretty decent fantasy #'s (finished top 10 in a lot of formats) last year. If they really do open up the passing game, I wouldn't be surprised to see him up there again.

Finally, agree about your FIDO team. Good luck next year (or 3 yrs from now) Smile At least we can celebrate on Friday morning and talk a little to Iguana Smile

agree with Bullies...however big ben could surprise people this year and easily be a top 10 qb...solid draft for a 12-team league
