Ok, have the 5th pick in a 12 team league. Traded away 3rd and 6th round picks for 4th and 5th round, giving us back to back picks in those rounds. So far, 4 rounds done and 3 picks away from our 5.05 and 5.06 picks. Don't pick again until 7.05. This is standard scoring, PPR, no bonuses. Start 1 RB, 2 WR, and 1 RB/WR.

So far we have Barber (1.05), Boldin (2.08), Dunn (4.08), and Mason (4.09).

Was planning on getting either Housh or Rod Smith and then taking Shockey (Gates and Heap gone). But, started looking at RB's and Addai is there. Now, I'm not a big fan of him, but wondering if he would be a good pick as this is a keeper league and I wouldn't need him right away. Is he worth picking up this early in the hopes that by the end of the season he is the clear cut starter and could be very valuable? Or should I just go for the best starting lineup. One of the reasons I traded picks was to pick up a valuable keeper in either 4 or 5.
Just to let you know the rest of the plan, grab a QB like Delhomme or Culpepper in 7th, a TE in 8th (if we take Addai) like LJ Smith or McMichael, and a backup QB like Plummer in 9th.


RB's left--Dillon, Addai, Bell, Benson, T. Jones, Deuce, Fred Taylor, Mike Bell, A. Green, Chris Brown, etc.

WR's left--Housh, Branch, Evans, Smith , Reggie Brown, Burleson, Matt Jones, Clayton, Bennett, etc.

I like Addai a lot. Based on what I've heard, he's a better runner and blocker than Rhodes. I also like LJ Smith in the 8th round much more than Shockey in the 5th.

Using average draft info for a 12 team league at Antsports, Cooley and Witten going in 7th, LJ and McMichael going in 8th, Winslow going in 9th, and Watson, Miller, and Vernon Davis going in 10th. I think I'd only feel comfortable taking one of those top 4, but should be able to do so.

Do you think Addai should have a big impact this year? I haven't really considered him as he's going too high for me in non-keepers, but being this is a keeper, it changes a little. Think he could be as successful as Edge?

Truthfully I'm not a big fan of Addai from what I've seen of him so far. However since this is a keeper league, his value should be higher than expected.

This season you can expect Rhodes and Addai to share alot of carries. It's still a learning experience for Addai so don't expect much from him until late in the season IMO. Although he does have talent and speed.

Well, I'm not expecting a ton. I'm hoping this gamble pays off. Decided to go with him. I just hope my other starters are good enough to carry the load, but I think they are.
