In a 10 team league, I would have expected a better #2 RB. Did you grab Owens after the turn?

Owens was 4th rd pick. I debated between T Henry and Palmer in 2nd knowing 7-8 QBs would be gone before my 3rd rd. What swayed my decision is weaker QBs were difference the one year I finished out of money. I should add passing TDs are 6 in our league.

It looks like you took FWP 1st, Palmer 2nd, and TO 4th. So who was your 3rd round pick then? Ronnie Brown? That might be the dagger for you. There had to be alot better TD scoring options in the third round than him. Or so I would think. The rest of your starters look decent.

Agreed. If you wanted the QB early, could have gone with a better RB in 2nd and taken your QB (Brees, Brady, Bulger) in the 3rd and looked better. However, Adrian Peterson as your #3 RB right now is going to help you in a few weeks if you can squeeze a few wins out in the meantime. He'll be your #2 after a little bit.

That's the aspect that I can't seem to figure out. That is a TON of QBs in the first couple rounds of a 10 team draft. Way too many. I have to assume that it is 6 pts per TD and no penalties for INTs. That is the only way that even half makes sense.

Sounds like the answer is I would have been better off with Bush in 2nd and taking chance on QB in 3rd (turns out Kitna would have been available).

Thanks for the feedback. I will keep it in mind for future drafts.

I've been in a league that does 6 pt per passing TD's for QB's as well, in fact we've been running it that way for 15 years now and QB is crucial to these type of leagues. It is very hard to win without an above average QB. I think you did well taking Palmer. He can match Brady or Brees' TD numbers.

I'm not a Ronnie Brown fan either and would have liked to see you get a better 2nd RB, but I think you'll be happy with Palmer at QB.

Not sure I agree with you there. Kitna is being pumped up big time, but I think he's a high risk/high reward player. The Detroit offense has been built up enough going into each season in recent years that its a bit like the boy who cries wolf at this point. I'd much rather see you with Palmer than Kitna. I'm curious who was available at RB when you took Ronnie Brown.

One thing to keep in mind about Kitna.

I read somewhere recently along the lines of no Mike Martz passing offense has ever finished out of the top 5. Again, not sure if it's 100% accurate and we're still talking about Kitna and not a proven stud, but he showed what he could do last year and I wouldn't be surprised one bit if he finishes top 5-6 again this year.
