12 team combined scoring dynasty league rookie draft.

This was the first rd, what do you think? Any surprises?

1. Peterson
2. Lynch
3. Johnson (my first pick)
4. Russell (a surprise for me since owner already had Peyton and Leinart)
5. Ginn ( way too early for me)
6. Jackson (my 2nd pick)
7. Gonzalez
8. Bowe
9. Smith
10. Jarrett
11. Bush (my 3rd pick)
12. Jaoby Jones

So?

Looks very reasonable. I agree that Ginn is too early but some are high on him and it only takes 1 person. Also, I'm surprised Jacoby fell that far as well with all the hype he's been getting. Otherwise, very reasonable and you got some great picks.

I'm curious how you got 3 picks in the first round.

I think glassman may have 3 picks in the first round of the 2008 FIDO league. At the very least I know he has 2 of them and has been trying to acquire another one - could be the 4th he's trying to get for all I know...

The 1.6 pick was acquired from an owner who HATES drafting and has dealt me his pick the last 4 yrs running usually for established, still starting players. Jimmy Smith, Duce Staley, Cooley and McMichael in years past. This year for Derrick Mason and Jeff Wilkins.
1.3 came with Chris Brown for Portis and 2.11
1.11 was mine.
I'm asking him to trade me 2.6 for a 2nd rd pick next year, and we'll work out future considerations. He won't make the pick and it will just expire.

What an idiot! That's just being lazy. I don't mind trading out of the draft but to do it just because you don't like to draft.

Someone who dislikes the best part of the fantasy season has no business participating in a league.

I agree the draft is usually the best part of it for me too, but he's a lucky guy who manages to be in contention almost every year.
I can't explain it better than saying he's just lucky. He won tix to the Super Bowl a few years back on a radio contest and then three weeks after the game won tix to the final four from a soda bottle.

Final update. Traded Deerek Hagan for 2.6 and picked Craig Davis.
Johnson, Jackson, Bush and Davis. I'm happy with this year's picks.
