Should we move this to antsports so people can predraft and keep this from taking weeks. I expected this draft to be on the 19th? It's cool with me but what if someone is on vacation or something.

I set up a mock draft at Antsports.com, here is the id and password. I suggest we start making picks here and I can transfer them to Antsports if we can get everyone signed up. I set the timer for 12 hours, if you can't logon every 12 hours you can preselect a list of players you want to draft and the computer will take a guy from that list if he is still available. Please go there and signup, I believe they only run Mocks for a couple of weeks until their leagues start so if we want to get this thing in there we need to move.

First you need a user name, sign up if you don't have one already.
Go to Private Mock Draft on the left. Scroll down to Insights league, hint...they are alphebetical. Click join and you are on your way. When you join, please put in your draft position (shown above)
Okay...I am also in Antsports Insights mock. Will try to check in there and here often to see where we are. I will have some difficulty over the weekend, but I will try. In the meantime, I set up some pre-draft picks just in case. Will the computer automatically make my picks from my list if I don't get there for my turn? You said you set the timer at 12 hours, does that mean as long as I get there within the time limit, I can make my manual pick? I would hate an auto pick, and would want the option to review the previous 6 picks before making mine. Please do tell.. thanks!

Once the person before you makes their pick you have 12 hours to make your own pick. If you preselect some players you have a measure of control over who you get if you can't get online, however, if you do have a preselection the computer will use it as soon as it is your turn, it doesn't wait the 12 hours to see if you log on and then use your preselection.
Does that make sense? Basically if you think there is a 12 hour period you can't get online you are better off to make a preselection so the computer doesn't do an auto pick. You can preselect as many players as you want, do 10 if you want to cover yourself, as long as all 10 guys aren't taken by the people before you then the computer won't pick for you.

ok im kinda confused, is this the draft we will use for our teams on yahoo and wat will we do with the live draft set up for the 19? how can u just transfer everything over like that
The Aug 19th draft is a no-go. I posted a message saying that I picked that date because the dates were drying up fast and if we wanted one I had to grab it. It turned out to be a bad date for several people. As the commissioner, I can enter the rosters manually if we conduct the draft on another site, so we will do it on Antsports and if we can't finish it in a couple of weeks continue it here. I'll go change the draft and post this on the league site so there is no more confusion.
I signed up on antsports under kentric. I took the 3rd slot based on your first posting (i'm listed here as kenzo). With a 12 hour lag time, I hope we'll be fully drafted by the start of the season. lol

Once we get rolling it won't take long, I did a 12 teamer in 2 weeks. In the later parts of the draft, most people will predraft a list of players, and the computer will make their pick instantly when it is their turn.
I am still trying to get it fixed Steve, from antsports said he will install the option to change the draft selection but right now it is not available. Maybe if everyone else signs up for a specific slot they will give me 11 because it is the only one left. I think that will work. I will email Steve to find out.
