Easy for me.
Playing the online tourney for my entry to the Aruba Classic. Down to 4, paying 3 $10k packages. Was the short stack only a few hands ago until the chip leader donked away most of his chips. He was now all in and I called with QQ. Flop QQ4. Hello Aruba |

My QQ hands haven't ended that way yet.

I have 2.
Playing online to qualify for the 2006 WSOP main event. 126 go, there are 300 left and I'm in the bottom 10 percent, struggling. I go card dead, make a horrible call in middle position with QJs after UTG raised 3x. Flop comes Q 6 5. He makes a small bet, I think I'm ahead and push. He calls with AQ. The J on the river essentially sent me to Vegas. Hand 2. My last hand in WSOP main event. I have a tremendous table presence and am on the button with 89s. I raise 4x, expecting to take it down because the blinds were tight. Both call, which was surprising. Flop comes 8 9 2. Check, check, I bet the pot. Small blind calls, BB folds. Q on turn. My opponent checks. I KNOW he doesn't have 10 J and I have him on A8 or A9. I bet the pot again and re re-raises. Still convinced he doesn't have 10 j and thinking that he thinks the Q could not have helped me, I push. He calls and shows 22 for the set. No help on river. I'm done. Oh, well. |

Isle of Capri in Lake Charles playing 1-5 stud. I caught a straight flush to the 8 (clubs) on 6th street. There was a flush 2 seats to my left and a full house 4 to my left raising the heck out of eachother, not even looking my way. I'll never forget the looks on their faces when I flipped up my hand and raked the $95 pot. Even had my dad standing by to witness it which made it more memorable.
It's funny how they say your most memorable hands are the big ones that you end up losing, but that doesn't seem to be the case for the most part in this thread. |

Whatever . . . I lost a $10,000 buy-in and a shot at $8,000,000 on my hand |

I have a few more, for sure:
1. Was playing at Harrah's here in New Orleans at a 3/6 limit hold-em (no fold em) table. As expected, table was super loose with some decent pots. I got dealt 22. Flop came X X 2 with 2 hearts. 6 people originally in the hand, there were bets and raises from all directions (I didn't even have to do any work). Ended up with 3 others in the hand. Turn came with the case 2. Betting was capped again, but this time me and another guy were doing the raising with other callers. River came with J of hearts. Capped out. Was hilarious because I just waited to see everyone flip over their hands. One guy flipped over K high flush. Another flipped over A high flush. Another guy had JJ and hit the boat on the river and was ready to rake the pot when I flipped over my 22 for quads. As TenX said, their looks were priceless. 2. Here's the bad beat for you. Was playing a tourney here in New Orleans that was run by a group of students, all really good players. Got about 50 people together, entry was $50 and top 4 spots were paying, 1st being $1000. Anyway, down to last 7 or so, and I'm sitting in 4th place with about 23k chips. Blinds are 1500/3000 at this point and I'm the BB. 2 guys had about 35k each, another guy had 25k, 2 were at around 15k, and one short stack at 7k or so. First guy limps, 2nd guy limps, 3rd guy limps, short stack of 7500 folds, button calls, SB calls and it's to me. I was dumbfounded that all these people were in the pot, which was now HUGE just bc of the # of people and that no one raised. I look down at 84 unsuited and thought of pushing all in to take it there but then decided against it. Flop comes 10 4 4. SB, who is the guy that had 25k (had me covered by 2k) bets 5k leaving him with about 20k. I think for a moment since it's on me and I figure I just want this pot right now and shove my remaining chips in. Folds all around to him who sits and stares at me for about 3-4 min before saying "I call". I was thrilled and he flips over A10. Turn 3. River 10. Wins the pot of almost 60k and goes on to win. This was after I only just started playing and still wasn't that great, but felt so deflated. While I've had worst beats than that, that one stung the most. 3. While I don't remember all the specifics of the betting, I was playing 1/2 PL Omaha online and ended up beating a guy with a straight flush with a higher straight flush. He had A2 of spades and I had 67 of spades. Board came with 3 spades, including the 34 of spades and he flopped the nut flush. River was the 5 of spades. He was dumbfounded. Only ended up winning about $80 on that hand tho. 4. This was a hand I wasn't in, but remember it because of how it crazy it went. Was watching an online qualifier for the Aruba package a few years ago. Down to 5 players, paying 2 packages and 2 guys got it all in. One flipped over AA and the other QQ, both had a heart. Flop came 10JQ with 2 hearts. QQ was now ahead. Turn was the K of hearts, now giving AA the straight and nut flush draw. River was 9 of hearts, giving AA the A high flush but giving QQ the K high straight flush for the win. Never saw anything like that in my life. |

I haven't played enough to have a memorable hand until last night. While mine wasn't quite as good (or bad) as that, it's very similar. Flop was Q57h and I hold the Ah. One other guy is in and he bets and I'm pretty sure he has the flush but doesn't bet enough to keep me out. 8h on the turn. I check, he bets, I call. Jc on the river. I bet, he goes all-in. I think about it a little bit, decide he doesn't have 46 or 96 and call. He turns over 96h and I'm essentially out after 2 hands. Lot's of fun. |

Man that just sucks although I believe you played right. You just got beat. I'd bet it the same way if it happened again. |

I had quad K's last night. Unfortunately I bubbled out of the tourny to someone who runner/runner/runnered a straight.
Ive had a royal flush twice in cash games online. Neither time paid very much. ********************************** "Dan only had one coach in his career" |
