They had this going on a local radio show here and it got me thinking that we never had this when we were doing are movie lists.

So lets have it. Your top 10 Cop movies of all time.

Honorable Mentions: Lethal Weapon, 48 Hours, Heat, Donnie Brasco, Beverly Hills Cop, Along Came A Spider.

I am sure there are some I missed, but this is a pretty good list. Dirty Harry will always be my #1 here. The Original Walking Tall was an incredible movie as well, and was based on a real guy.

That's a pretty broad list...how do you determine what makes it a "cop" movie?

I think only you can really determine that. I'm trying to justify "The Day of the Jackal" and "Dog Day Afternoon" to myself. But I don't think Jackal is close really although Dog is closer.
