This is the 3rd headline on sportlines this week about the Yankees. They win a game, their in the headlines, they move someone to the bullpen their in the headlines, they take someone off the DL, headlines. Aren't their some other 500 teams these writers can write about? Mad

Haven't been following baseball much this season, was starting to wonder why it was such a big deal that Joba Chamberlain was making a start at the end of May Confused

Because it's the Yankees I suppose

Actually no. Correct me if I am wrong, but there are only two teams left in MLB, the other one being the Red Sox. And I think they are over .500 If there are other teams playing, the major sports outlets do a pretty good job of keeping them irrelevant.

If they won with a 2 out ,3 run rally in the 9th against one of the leagues better closers, they would have moved up a bit.

Update: I spoke to soon. They made the headlines again today because KC beat Rivera in the 9th. That now puts both KC and NY in last place.

Use ESPN or Yahoo - they seem to spread the wealth if sportline doesnt. ..... sportsline must have some sort of conspiracy going on.

Wow, Del Negro coaching the Bulls. Who'd have thunk it? Used to love that guy back in the day.

You may be on to something Gian. Steinbrenner must have an inside connection to CBS sportsline.
