OK, lets get it going again. Alot of new faces are of age this year. Must have turned 40 in 2007 to be involved on the young in. This year, lets put a cap on as well. No woman over the age of 60. That gives a 20 year gap. This also means are champion last year will not be able to defend the title.

Takes three votes to make the tourny. Once in, we can decide how to setup the brackets.

I was thinking.. what was the point of them all being over 40 if we judged them all on pictures taken when they were in their primes?

So how's this for a twist. I don't know how hard it would be to verify, but how about we judge solely on pictures taken when the woman was above 40? Would shake things up a bit.

It's pretty amazing that we need to set a cap so a 67 year old woman doesn't win... You could set this limit for the next 10 years and I'd still have to default back to her as being #1.

Hence my suggestion to use current pictures rather than prime pictures, otherwise it's just the same tournament year after year.

Frankly, her most current photos would probably still win the contest. I actually think she may very well look better today than she did even in her prime.

I don't mind having a range provided that if this contest is run each year that a past winner is no longer eligible.

I like Ten's idea. Let's change it up a little and vote using current pictures. Besides, we still get have to search through all those outdated pictures to find just the right current one.

I assume we'll end up with a number of the same entrants, so instead I will throw out two new faces into the contest this year:

Pamela Anderson
Cindy Margolis

Not saying I'd be putting either through very far, but both are worthy of consideration. I'll add in some repeats some time later.

Even if you change the rules slightly, it's still going to be a tourney of mostly the same women, with similar results. How about the ones in their primes now? 20-40?

I posted about the same thing a while ago Bullies, but then deleted it. I'm afraid if we end up trying to change the rules too much and start a ton of debates that we'll frustrate Glass too much with running this tourney.

When is the official cutoff date for the magical 40?

Lucy Lawless turns March 29th. Not that she'd win but it'd be fun.

Well, I'll 2nd both of these to get things going. Although Pamela can look downright frightening at her age now.

I like the idea of judging their most recent appearance.

I'll nominate Lisa Renna.

Give a 3rd to Cindy Margolis and Pamela Anderson

Not trying to step on toes. Just making a suggestion so that we're not merely doing a repeat of something that turned out to be a great time. Wink

I definitely agree a little variation would be nice. I just know we would all end up haggling out the rules for weeks before we got started. I wouldn't mind lowering the age requirements to 30 or 35 or something myself.

Let's not lower it any under 40. Once you get much younger, we'll get a whole host of more "contemporary" women and it just becomes a story that People would waste their trashy magazine on...

So let's get nominating!!!

How about we not stereotype all younger women as less worthy and just fodder for "trashy" magazines. While I agree as a group compared to their older counterparts, there seems to be a lot less "substance", but there are still plenty of them that have quite a bit to offer. And let's not assume that their older counterparts don't have their negative faults as well. If we included those younger women, those that you refer to probably wouldn't last long anyway.

I agree that I think there should be something different about it otherwise we'll just be having the same tourney with very similar results. While that would still be fun, would be nice to do something else. Either way, I'll be happy to look at these pics over and over and over Big Grin

OK, how about this. We have 4 brackets, we may as well use them.

Bracket 1, 20-30 year olds. This means we will probably have mini game play in for the 16 spots.

Same for Bracket #2, the 30-39 year olds.

This leaves brackets 3 in 4 for women 40 and over. Only current pictures will be allowed. The 32 with the most votes gets in the tourny.
