Ok in a 1RB 2WR 1RB/WR flex starter league I have:
Adai
M Barber
C Johnson
L Fitzgerald
M Colston
I use all the above depending on match up for the 4 slots. I have been offered:

Adrian Peterson ( the Minn version )
Chester Taylor
Chris Henry

for

Chad Johnson
Marques Colston
and GB TE Lee

it IS a keeper league ( 1 player of different positions 2 keeps max ) so I would have a delimna offseason BUT with playoffs looming do I give up my backbone of WRs for the future and risk this season hoping AP comes back and delivers in time for week 14-17?

HELP!
thanks

Trades after 12 weeks of the season? What bizarre leagues these are...

In this system, I think you have to turn it down:

1) You are devastating your WR corps for the playoff run
2) You have no idea if AP is going to return healthy. I'd look for a shared role with Taylor on his return - much the same as Jones/Barber in Dallas so I ultimately think you are giving up too much this season.
3) You'd only be able to keep Addai or Peterson for next season. I don't think there is a clear cut better talent between those two. Some will disagree.

trade dealine is tomorrow with a 24 hour voting so I need to pull the trigger tonight. Its a long standing league so we don;t worry about the collusion issues

Also off season trading for draft picks is allowed so I would get something for either Addai or Peterson

If it were a deeper keeper league in which you could keep addai and AP, then maybe. As it is, there is no way I make this trade. AP may be back this week but is he going to be a legit starter so that you can put him in? Not really. Until you see him either on the field or off, you can't really play either Taylor or AP. And even when AP gets healthy in the offseason, you have to drop either him or Addai (or maybe trade one for someone like CJ). I think your team is in better shape for the playoff run without the trade and in as good a place for the future as you would be with the trade.
