OK,I know everyone says Chad is gonna turn it around, but I don't buy it. Which of these WR's would you target in what order? Which wouldn't yougive up Chad for?

Roy (obviously have to give up more than chad)
Boldin
Fitzgerald
Housh
Burress
Wayne (probably untouchable)

You're already convinced that all of these guys are better options than Johnson right now, so I am not sure why you want our opinion as who not to try to trade him for...

Let's try to step back and put something in perspective rather than make a move based on fantasy points.

Chad Johnson has 40 catches this season. The "top" guy on your list (I assume in your view must be the top) is Williams who has caught 44 balls. Perhaps you think it is Wayne, also with 44... Boldin leads the list with 48, while Plax is at just 31 and Housh at 39.

Where Johnson is failing right now is yardage and TDs. But I expect things will even out. He is better than nearly every guy on this list and I'd wager has the best shot at scoring the most fantasy points among this group over the course of the rest of the season.

With that in mind, I shall rank them top to bottom and let you sort out what you think you should do:

1) Boldin
2) Fitz
3) Housh
4) Wayne
5) Williams
6) Burress

My gut says to put Wayne on the bottom. Harrison is the #1 for the Colts, period. And he excels in the second half of the season. But Wayne has the better QB than Williams. I'd put Burress ahead of Williams because he's got a solid QB to work with, but they aren't a pass-first team. And when they are, he's really the second or even third option.

I like either Cards WR as much as Johnson. But I'd trade any of the rest to get Chad onto my team.

The problem with Chad is moreso Palmer. Palmer admitted this week that his knee is still not 100% and he's not fully stepping into his throws, which is affecting his accuracy. He isn't supposed to be 100% until after the season is over. The emergence of Housh and Henry is real. I don't think you can just say that Chad is going to pick it up in the second half. It's not in his control to do that. As long as he gets double-teamed, and Housh and Henry keep coming through then CJ will end up a 2006 bust. Remember that what he is projected at every year is usually quite a bit higher than what he ends up actually doing. Aside from receptions, he's never dominated in TD's or yardage. He's been good. So for him to make a worthwhile 2nd half comeback for his owners, he's going to have to have a huge turnaround. That just doesn't seem likely, given how the season is going.

At this point, the only guy I wouldn't trade him for is Fitz. I'd never trade for an injured player, especially one with a hammy. I'd rate them like this:

Williams
Boldin
Housh
Wayne
Burress
Fitz

I agree mostly with Bullies. I probably wouldn't want Burress or Housh as well. But, I don't see why any of those owners would want to trade for Chad. All of those have just as much potential as Chad in the 2nd half. And, they have all performed better (except maybe Fitz) in the 1st half. The owners all have to be pretty happy. I would think a WR for a RB or some other position would work better. Unless you add something else to the trade (and I don't think it's worth doing), I don't see why someone would make the WR/WR trade.

Well, clearly thru 2 weeks my advise is sound. And hopefully those other owners turned down offers (if you made any).

No scores over the past 3, but 7-123, 8-91, 5-101 ain't something to shake a stick at. These few weeks have vaulted him to the #1 WR in football. Hopefully you hung onto him.

Prior to the week 15 games, Johnson ranked as the #1 WR in the FIKL.

Ah. He's currently 2nd and 6th in my two leagues. Still, weeks 10 and 11 have really inflated his season stats. 21% of his receptions came in those two weeks. A whopping 35% of his yards, and 71% of his TD's.....in two weeks. So, while he's had two 100-yard games in the last four weeks, he's gone 0-for-4 on TD's. He's only slightly better over the last four games than he was before weeks 10 and 11.

The question here was for the second half of the season which I felt he was the best option among this group. WR is typically a feast-or-famine type position for the most part. It is rare to get really stable players that don't throw in a bad week here or there. I felt Chad would rebound from the first half and start producing and he has. That's all. I never like giving up on star players until it is clear that it is a problem specific to their own abilities/attitude, etc. It was just a matter of time for him to start putting up the numbers worthy of where he was drafted. Despite frustrations, I think the right move was to stick with him.
