My keeper league is a little unique in that we keep 8 and we have our annual draft the day before the NFL draft. So as far as rookies you really dont know for sure if they are going to end up in the right spot. I have whittled my roster down to the following, scoring is 1pt for 10 yds rush/recv, 1 pt per 20 passing. TD's are 6 points but only 3 for QB passing. Start 1 QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, K ,D
I have the 4th overall pick as well, and I would guess that Peterson, M Lynch, and Calvin Johnson are likely the first 3 picks, however there is a Raider fan in the bunch so if Jemarcus Russell is looking like their guy he could fall in there. I have a lot of talent but have had a hard time competing due to the lack of a top end RB. Vick and Manning have both been hot/cold and not sure I am inclined to keep either, but watching closely the offseason RB discussions in Chicago and Carolina in particular. I am inclined to keep all 3 WR and not draft any early in our draft. Gates is a no brainer keeper. Vick E Manning Caddilac McGahee Deangelo Williams Thomas Jones J Norwood B Calhoun Chad Johnson Javon Walker Marques Colston Antonio Gates |

I think you have to keep the WRs and Gates. I'd probably keep Jones and Norwood too. Then Caddy, at least he's a starter. As far as the 8th McGahee or Manning.
Hopefully you'll know something about McGahee's situation by then. I know Buffalo doesn't like what he's been saying lately. |

Interesting...
I was thinking Cadillac (hoping they land a better QB and maybe even Calvin Johnson to make him more viable) McGahee (have heard the information lately, but he is too talented to throw back) D Williams (heard rumblings that D Foster was going to be a cap casualty) Either Norwood or Jones (depending on what happens with Jones. I am hoping they deal him and he gets an opportunity to be the lead back somewhere, but not sure where there is a fit out there, best case something happens before the draft to clear this one up. Also will watch Dunn situation and if he were let go it obviously boosts Norwood's stock) CJ Colston Walker Gates I would likely be able to pick a solid QB with my second pick. I have also looked into packaging one of my WR with a RB to move up or obtain a better #1 RB, but so far no luck. |

I'd keep both Norwood or Jones before I kept Cadillac. He has yet to show that he can do anything special, let alone stay healthy. He's not even a top 15 RB.

Even with the situation hanging over McGahee, you have to keep him. You have 6 obvious ones
Chad Johnson Javon Walker Marques Colston Antonio Gates DeAngelo Williams Willis McGahee With RB always a commodity, I think I would keep both Jones and Cadillac as well. I am not as big of a fan of Norwood as some are. **************************** Official Fantasy Insights fan of the 2006 World Champion St. Louis Cardinals. |

I am curious why Norwood is getting the love. I don't think he's got enough value even with 8 keepers to be on a keeper list.

I agree with Glass that those 6 are obvious keepers. I also think Jones is a keeper as well.
So that last spot comes down to Cadillac vs. Norwood. As I pointed out above, I just don't see Cadillac being a reliable starter. In 2 years he's had a good bit of injury problems. And again, he really has done nothing special except for those first 3 games of his career. Now, with Norwood, it's a little bit more of a gamble. However, Dunn is getting up there in age and his production dropped this past year. Even in limited work, Norwood has shown he has the potential to be something good. I'd be willing to gamble that by year's end, if not earlier, Norwood ends up with the starting gig there. With McGahee and Jones, I don't see Cadillac getting much starting time anyway, so it's worth the gamble. Cadillac just isn't top 10 material and I don't even think he's a top 15 RB. |

In 2006, Cadillac started 14 games. He had 225 carries and only managed 798 yards. And he scored all of ONE touchdown all year long. One.
Norwood, on the other hand, had only 99 carries and ran for 633 yds. 6.4 ypc. And he scored twice in that limited work. You've gotta like his chances to get that starting job soon and I would love to see what he could do with it. TB has too many holes for Cadillac to do substantially better and I just don't think he's that good of a RB. He was 29th in the league in rushing. That's horrible. |

I'd keep Vick before I'd keep Norwood... People can dislike him all they want, but he's (surprisingly) consistently among the top QBs. Plus he'll probably outrush Norwood and score more TDs on the ground.

That's fine. I think keeping Vick is a perfectly reasonable decision. But keepign Cadillac isn't. |
