3 keeper league:

Faulk, Ricky W., Deuce M.(i also have bruce and T. brown)

could get Rod Smith for Deuce.

I hate keeping 3 backs when we start 1qb, 2rb, 3wr. Thoughts, comments, suggested moves???

Depth like that is never a bad thing to have at RB and I would be more than happy to carry the 3 of them into a draft. However, getting Rod Smith for McAllister would be a great move. An even better idea would be to try to trade McAllister and Bruce for an even better WR (Moss, Owens, Harrison, Boston). It depends on your league rules and the other owners situations but if you can turn 2 good keepers like McAllister and Bruce into 1 great keeper from a team that lacks 3 true keepers, that would be huge.

Your going to need a stud WR and in a 3 player keeper league the top tier guys will obviously be gone. I'd take the trade and go into the draft with Faulk and RW and Rod Smith ....then you could get a serviceable backup RB like a Henry, and it would allow you to gamble a bit with the likes of Fred Taylor or Terrel Davis.... I think your in a win win situation....Rod smith for Duece to me is a done deal especially with your keepers.....lateeeeeeeeeeee

Yep, trade Deuce for Smith. Nobody can be 100% certain that Deuce is going to even reach 1,000 yards this year. A light of people liked Michael Bennet,RB, MIN before last year, and I think he had about 700 yards rushing. You can get a decent backup in the draft, but you won't be getting a top 5 receiver if you don't do the trade.

Trade and be glad you did.

Forget about the harrison deal. Keep Bruce and get Rod Smith as well. Who cares about Deuce. As of right now he's pretty much worthless until he proves somthing. Smith is an elite wr who is right up there with harrison anyhow. Remember an unproven rb last year who everyone was high on pre-season? HIs name is Michael Bennett. Need I say more? Make the trade now.

Give up Deuce and take Rod.

If you could trade Bruce and Deuce for a Harrison or Owens...do that as well.

Good luck!

Make the trade to get Rod. An intelligent owner is never going to bite on any deal involving Deuce and Bruce.

I got Harrison!!!

traded deuce and bruce for harrison!
he need another keeper or he would have went in w/ barber as a third keeper

now I go into the draft w/ 9-12 snake picks keeping:

Faulk
Williams
Harrison

What kind of an idiot makes that trade with you? Nice job robbing him blind.

actually I think your trade might not work out that well. You should have just traded for Rod Smith. Giving up a guy like Bruce and Deuce is a bit too much for Harrison in my opinion, considering you could have gotten Rod Smith for Deuce alone. Don't be surprised if both Rod Smith and Bruce tear it up this year. Harrison is awesome but you basically lost a chance at 2 other awesome wrs as well.

I simply continue to be baffled over and over when I see how little respect Marvin Harrison continues to get...why isn't this guy the clear #1 WR????

His last 3 years:

1999 115receptions 1663yards 12TD
2000 102receptions 1413yards 14TD
2001 109receptions 1524yards 15TD

Am I missing something?

YOU GOT A GREAT TRADE. NICE WORK!

I could be wrong, but it didn't appear that keeping Bruce was really an option he was considering. I think it was a very good deal and was really a no lose situation. One guy he was questioning (Deuce) and another he would have cut for a sure-fire keeper.

Oh sorry I missed the keeper part. Since you can only keep 3 it turns out to be a great trade actually. And Joe I was not showing a lack of respect towards Harrison. I was trying to show my respect towards Rod Smith. All I'm trying to say is that he is not that much of a downgrade from Harrison. Both wrs are very consistent and their numbers will be close at the end of the year. But since he can only keep 3, Bruce is worthless anyhow so I agree that Harrison is still a better fantasy wr than Smith. Good move!!!

you guys got it right, I couldn't keep bruce. Although I don't think I robbed him blind, I think bruce is undervalued this year, and deuce could be a solid keeper for a long time. Its a risk he could take that I did not need to take w/ faulk and ricky. thanks guys!

It is a great deal for you congrads...but it may not be that stupid for the other guy either.

Because the other guy had no studs.....his options were Barber and Harrison or Duece and Bruce. Do you understand now..why it may be a deal that works for both teams. If I was the other team...I still think a pick should have been thrown in like geting a 2nd for a 4th.
