I'm having a little trouble deceidingwho to keep next year.
Our league hold 3 dynasty players every year.
You are ale to keep any player(s) you wish from year to year, with a couple exceptions;
You can't keep players from the same team or at the same position.
Players score points for "everything", TD's, Yards, receptions, etc.
Total roster of 20 with 10 starters.

Here is my roster from last season;

Donovan McNabb
John Kitna
Jay Cutler
Rudy Johnson
Julius Jones
Kevin Jones
Chester Taylor
Anquan Boldin
Braylon Edwards
Jerricho Cotchery
Bernard Berrian
Marty Booker
Troy Williamson
Tony Gonzalez

I am considering keeping
Rudi Johnson & Tony Gonzalez
I was considering a QB, but am unsure with McNabb or Cutler.

What do you guy's think?
Let me have it.

While I like McNabb, none of your QB options are worthy of taking up a keeper slot which amounts to a selection in the first 3 rounds.

Your best option is Anquan Boldin.

I'd keep Rudi and Boldin for sure. I don't think I'd keep Gonzo. How much time does he have left? Maybe KJ?

He can't keep KJ if he keeps Rudi...one RB.

Oops. Then man, that's tough. I'd still keep Rudi and Boldin. I don't know, maybe Cutler. But he's inexperienced too. It might take awhile for him to develope. My problem with McNabb and Tony is that they're probably on the down side of their careers. McNabb, mainly because of the injuries.

Well, this is a standard 3-player keeper league and I don't think Cutler is going to be drafted nearly as high as Gonzo. 73-900-5 out of the TE position this season. Still tough to match aside from a guy like Gates. In any keeper league, the question should always be about how high/low a guy will go and Gonzo will still probably go reasonably high in most leagues.

Another good point, skip. QB's can be drafted much later. Okay, keep Gonzo. Smile

All good points guys, Thanks.

In the past, I have always tried to hold a;
QB, RB, & TE, as long as they all are "top" players at their position. I've avoided WR's unless their a top 6 player, this position seems to be the most unstable from year to year.
Having a solid QB, RB, & TE, (in leagues where TE's are a contributing force), gives the upper hand over guys scrapping for WR's. With this strategy, I've been able to make the play-offs the last 12 years and make the finals 6 of those years, with 3 championships.
All this in a 12 team league.
By the way, of the 10 starters, here is the line-up;
QB - 1
RB - 2
WR - 3
TE - 1
K - 1
D - 1
Flex - 1 (RB, WR, or TE)

We need to declare our keepers by March 31st, still have some time to see what happens in free agency.
You guys have given me some food for thought, Thanks again.
