First of all I'm a big Bears fan my runningbacks are Bush, Benson, McAllister, Addai, and Rhodes none scoring all that high. And most importantly Orlando Pace is out for the rest of the year. I've held Holt on my team in a keeper league for 4 years. I know Holt is really good but Jones is in a run first offense

Would you trade Holt for Thomas Jones.

Plus I'll get Reggie Brown to sweetin the pot, when I have Stallworth on my team already who you know is injury prone?

Good trade or bad trade Confused

You don't mention your WR situation, but if you would rather watch guys on "Your Team" rather than win, do it. If you want to win, no freakin way....just my opinion.

Need to see your entire roster. TJ and Brown for Holt is more than fair, maybe even a little lopsided in your favor. But you're not going to start both Brown and Stallworth every week, right? We need to see the whole picture. Wink

Not seeing the roster, I wouldnt do it.

Holt is a perennial #1/#2 keeper....Are T Jones and Reggie Brown keepers?
Maybe, but depends on how many you keep. Are they cornerstones? I dont think so.

But as the horned guy said, It's hard to say with out seeing the whole situation.

Depending on what happens in the offseason of course. I'd much rather keep Holt over both Bush and Addai.

No way would I trade Holt for Jones and Reggie.

I don't think either Bush or Addai are your keepers at this point. Holt and TO are. Unless Addai wins the starting job outright or Deuce gets traded, neither of those 2 are keepers. Look at their points scored compared to TO and Holt right now.

At this point, keep Holt and TO and then go RB heavy in your draft next year.

If anyone thinks its a good idea to leave Bush unprotected, they have to be crazy or on some other planet or something?

Bush will be my keeper no question!!!!!

Crazy, huh?

About as crazy as those people who were drafting him in the 3rd and 4th rounds this year.

Deuce is still the #1 RB on that team. Reggie has yet to show he's going to be the all-world wonder he's been hyped to be, let alone the ability to even be an every-down back. His ypc so far is miserable and he's gotten plenty of opportunities while Deuce has flourished with the same # of touches as well as garnered the goal-line carries. Unless something happens in the off-season, expect more of the same next year. And possibly the year after that.

Bush hasn't shown any signs yet that he will be the next LT or Alexander or LJ. If anything, Addai is more of a keeper than Bush is. But if you feel it's important to keep a "hyped" player on your roster just because it would be crazy to let him go, then you should do it. May cost you for another 2-3 seasons, but hey, by that 3rd or 4th year, you'll have a stud and you'll be guaranteed a championship, right?

Good luck with that. What was that saying all about...a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush? (no pun intended, of course)

I have to agree that keeping 2 from that roster, there I wouldn't keep Bush in fact I'd trade him off if there is an owner that is hot to have him for a keeper. I'd have a hard time trading Holt, he, TO and Addai would be the three that I would debate keeping. Addai is in a better system and has the best chance to succeed as far as your RB's.

drjones, you can do what you want. More power to you. I really don't think you'll find any of the regulars on this board that think keeping Bush is a stone cold lock. You may be right but I doubt it. Do what you want and I really hope it works out for you.

I just think that a lot of owners in keeper leagues that only keep 1-4 or 5 players think way too much about years beyond the next. In a shallow keeper like yours I think it best to not think any farther than next year. When there are that few keepers there is always good talent to draft. If, however, you don't keep the very best players for the next year on your team you will find yourself behind the eight ball before the season even starts. In a shallow keeper thinking long term is a death sentence.

Hopefully you don't trade Holt and you have until late in the preseason next season to make a decision about your keepers. If you do trade Holt you're left with little choice.

I pretty much agree with everyone else - Holt and Addai before Bush. I don't think I'd keep Owens unless it is a really, really, really, really, really, really, late 'set keepers' date.

Also, unless this is a PPR league, in a keep 2 situation, Bush shouldn't be in the same sentence as 'keeper' unless the word 'not' is also in there.
