In my league QB's don't get penalized for turnovers, and the owner of Kitna has approached me for a deal. I currently have Cutler starting for me, and while he is solid, he is never considered prolific. Kitna, at times, is and averages a few points a game higher than Jay.

10 teams/4pt-pass/6pt-other/1pt-25pass/10rush/10rec

I took SJax as my RB#1 and took a group of guys (mostly vets) hoping to land a #2. AGreen was the first of four I pulled and I considered him the most "solid". Being in Houston, I felt I had an accurate gauge on him. But I also took, JLewis, LJordan, and LWhite. We only start two, so I need at least two of these guys to stay.

The other owner has offered Kitna for A.Green. I love what Jordan is giving me right now. Will he continue? Will Rhodes take much away? Will Lewis continue to be OK? Will LenWhale establish himnself? It feels a little early to deal what I considered the "safest" guy for my #2 RB, but I'm not starting him now (starting Jordan) and I can get a QB that is a definite upgrade over my starter.

Just looking for a couple of opinions...

What do we need a scoreboard for? We haven't scored any runs all season.

Do it.

Green isn't the player he was a few seasons back in Green Bay. Ron Dayne is getting as much work - including on passing downs. You're giving up a marginal RB2 for a guy you will be plugging in as your starting QB. I don't think there is much to think about here.

Thanks Skip, I almost did it last night, but it was late and I wanted to consider the depth issue first.

While it's not the most even trade as I think Green, a starting RB, is a steep price to pay for a QB like Kitna, you've got the depth to do so. It would still leave you with SJax, Lewis, and Jordan (I wouldn't want to count on White so not including him). However, I would see at trying to get a little something more with Kitna, such as a lower RB with some potential or even a #3 WR with potential.

The thing is that while I agree that Kitna is an upgrade to Cutler, I just don't see it as enough of an upgrade to warrant giving up a starting RB. First of all, you're now potentially making another team stronger (unsure of his roster) without upgrading yours significantly. Secondly, while you're still ok at RB, if you were to lose SJax for whatever reason, will you be comfortable with Lewis and Jordan for the remainder of the year?

I personally probably wouldn't do it, but it's not a bad trade. How desperate is the other owner since he approached you? Would Cutler and White get you Kitna? I would think you could acquire him for a lower price.

I'd do it. How many #2 RB's do you want to play musical chairs with each week? You've still got Lewis and Jordan to flip/flop. I don't think White will be a factor.

I don't know how Lewis will do the rest of the way, but I like Jordan a lot. I would definitely trade Green for Kitna, no question. Let us know how it goes.

I did the deal traded Kitna for Green straight up. It gives my starting lineup a boost for now, Gian brought up a good point on if SJaxson goes down, I could be in trouble, so I need to check up on his backup. Thanks guys for the thoughts.
