I want opinions on this trade that was made in a new FF league I'm in. I've been playing FF for quite some time (19 years and counting). Maybe I missed something, maybe I'm not sure what year this is (2009 right?). The league is performance scoring 6pts of rush/ rec TD; 4 pts for pass TD. 1 Pt for every 10 years of rush or rec.
We had our draft a couple of days ago and this deal was announced the next day. Its a league where the owners veto can the trade (not sure how many it takes to block the deal). Here's the trade that was made:
Team A trades L. Washington RB NYJ and C. Taylor RB MIN to Team B for M. Forte RB CHI and F. Jones RB Dal. (Team A also has M. Turner RB ATL. I immediately cast my veto. However it went through.

Whadaya think?

I generally oppose the use of vetos. And frankly I don't care if there was one available or not, the commissioner should step in and cancel the trade on the grounds that it is detrimental to the league.

Agree with Skip here. I hate vetoes I think most of the time they're just a popularity vote. In a case like this the commish has to grow a set and just say "this isn't right and I won't let it stand."

If this is the way the new league runs I'd be out. Finish the season then find somewhere else to enjoy fantasy football. This is just the start and I doubt it will be an enjoyable season.

I, too, do not like vetos. I feel most know what they're doing and most are experienced enough to know what's what. I was asked by a friend to join as they needed one more to make 12. I have the feeling there are a lot of newbies (IE: the trade.). Here the problem is that Team A is the commish. Yes, this may be a one and done for me.

Assuming this is a pay league, I would request your league fee back and leave now. It's not worth your time if crap like that is going to occur.

The trade is a joke. On a side note, a league commissioner should have enough sense not to offer/accept a trade like that. Get out, GET OUT NOW!!!
