I think too much is being made of Brohm going to GB.
I think it was merely a value pick. Smart, productive QB who slipped and provides some long-term insurance should Rodgers flame-out. No one who ever saw Brohm play is going to think he may be the next Brett Favre...completely different type of QB.

Totally agree. He was drafted at that point because his value was very good. Green Bay had no backup in the real sense of the word. Now they have someone they can develop and someone there just in case Rodgers bites the big one.

I have no issue with stating that I put Brohm as the #2 here. There is not a QB on this list expected to walk in and be the #1. A couple are expected to challenge. Despite being in the league for 3 seasons, Rodgers has very limited experience on the field. He's really only played one game. While he certainly comes in with the advantage of knowing the offense, no one knows at this point if he will succeed. I agree with the sentiment here that he is being brought in purely as a backup and will not be asked to challenge Rodgers for the job this season. Given the weapons in Green Bay's offense and the quality of their team in general, if Brohm does get an opportunity at some point I believe the pieces are in place for him to have some success. I can't say the same for anyone else on this list.

Well, considering I had Brohm as the #1 rated QB, I definately like him the most. He was brought in to backup this year, but talent wise, coming into the league, Aaron Rogers was not nearly as good as Brohm is coming into the league.
