I know I'm posting in the wrong place, but I'm going for maximum exposure.

Do any of you have a car that has an automatic shoulder belt? It's the kind that comes down on your shoulder once you start the car and was popular in the late 80s. I've spent a few days looking for some and am striking out.

Let me know if you do, then I'll be more specific in what I am trying to find out.

Thanks!

I remember an uncle of mine having one of those cars... a Toyota Camry, if I remember right. Not sure on the year, though.

Edit: Wikipedia's got some information and THIS article mentions a couple of models.

I don't have one, but I think my buddy had an older ford escort that had it.

I used to own one, but sold it about 10 years back.

I had a Ford Tauris SHO that had them. That was a 1990 model I believe. I know my brothers mercury had them too, but I don't know what year it was.

So what are you trying to find out?

Are you looking for a good deal on an old Escort or what?
